Property Owners frequently ask us for a referral list of Roofing Contractors. We simply don't refer or endorse any Roofing Contractor.
The Roofing Contractors that are on almost all referral lists pay big $$$ to be there. However, being on any Referral List means nothing. Many of the Roofing Contractors on such referral lists constantly make many mistakes, some major. I know because I have inspected many of their roofs for City/ County Building Departments. All Referral Lists, even ones from top radio and TV personalities, should only be used as a source to obtain names of companies that perform the type of work you are looking for. Just because they pay big $$$ to be on the list does not mean they will do the work any better than those who are not on the list. This is because no one ever inspects their roof installations except for the standard local City/County Building Inspection, which in most cases is not very thorough.
See our web pages Selecting a Roofing Contractor and Roof Inspection Service
To save Property Owners time and effort in searching for a Reputable Qualified Roofing Contractor, we are inviting Roofing Contractors who can meet our Roofing Contractor Requirements and are willing to sign our Roofing Contractor Agreement to have their company listed here. There are no fees to be listed here. This is not a paid referral or endorsement list.
In addition to meeting our Roofing Contractor Requirements listed below, the Roofing Contractors listed here have agreed to pay any and all of our Roof RE-inspection Fees as defined on our web page Roof Inspection Service Fee. We believe Property Owners should never have to pay for the mistakes of the Roofing Contractor.
Not all Roofing Contractors can qualify to be on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors list. We require Roofing Contractors to first meet certain criteria listed below and on our Roofing Contractor Agreement web page.
roofkey Roofing Contractor Requirements
Below are the Roofing Contractor Requirements for Roofing Contractors to be listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors web page. (Roofing Contractors, if you wish to be listed on this page, go to our Roofing Contractor Agreement web page first.)
Roofing Contractors:
Must share our commitment of improving the use and installation of roofing materials and accessories with the Property Owners best interest in mind. (This will become self evident as we perform our Roof Inspection Services.)
Must have been in business as a Roofing Contractor installing roofing materials for a minimum of (1) one year prior to applying to have their company's name listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors web page. Acceptable proof of that will require the verification of a current City/County Building License for roofing and the date issued. (This verifies that the Roofing Contractor has been around installing roofs for at least (1) one year.)
Must state that the Ownership and/or Operations Management has not changed hands for a minimum of six (6) months prior to applying. Any significant changes in ownership and/or management will require the reapplication and signing of our Roofing Contractor Agreement. (This requirement is an attempt to assure that the ownership and management of the company has not recently and significantly changed. In the aftermath of a major hailstorm, sometimes Storm Chasers will buy or lease a Local Roofing Company.)
Must have had at least a minimum of (1) one roofing installation Pass both our Mid-Roof Inspection and our Final Roof Inspection within (30) thirty days prior to being listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors web page. (Before any Roofing Contractor can be on this list we must see their roofing installations to see what kind of work they do and if they can install roofing products and accessories to the criteria listed on our web page roofkey Roofing Guidelines. This also allows the Roofing Contractor to become familiar with our expectations because up to now the only entity ever inspecting their roofs has been City/County Building Departments.)
Must have at least a minimum of (1) one roofing installation Pass both our Mid-Roof Inspection and our Final Roof Inspection every calendar quarter to continue to be listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor web page. (This way we can continue to at least monitor some of their work.)
Must carry at all times General Liability and Completed Operations Insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000.00 in coverage. An Insurance Certificate with a 10 Day Cancellation Clause Notification must be on file with our company. If using Subcontractors, the Roofing Contractor must provide Proof of Insurance Coverage for each Subcontractor. (This requirement assures that the Roofing Contractor is currently insured with the proper coverage and that their insurance companies will let us know if their insurance coverage is in jeopardy of lapsing.)
Must carry at all times Automobile Liability Insurance with minimal coverage required by the state of Colorado.
Must carry at all times Workers’ Compensation Insurance with minimal coverage required by the state of Colorado.
Must be in good standing with the local Better Business Bureau and remain that way. (We can occasionally check the BBB to verify that this requirement is met.)
Must not have any outstanding correction notices from any City/County Building Department that are more than 30 days old. (We can occasionally call the various City/County Building Departments to verify that this requirement is met.)
Must not currently be in any litigation or become involved with any litigation where the Roofing Contractor's work has been called into question without informing RE/COR Inc. of the details for review to decide the status of being listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor web page. (This may prevent Roofing Contractor from being listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor web page or become cause for removal or suspension from our web page.)
Must provide RE/COR Inc. with details and outcome about any past litigation where the Roofing Contractor's work was called into question for review to decide the status of being listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor web page. (This may prevent Roofing Contractor from being listed on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor web page or become cause for removal or suspension from our web page.)
Must obtain a Building Permit from the local City/County Building Department where required for all roof installations. (We can occasionally call the various City/County Building Departments to verify that this requirement is met.)
Must install roofs adhering to the high standards as detailed in our roofkey Roofing Guidelines. (This is verified each time a Property Owner uses our Roof Inspection Services.)
Must sign and agree to the terms and conditions of our Roofing Contractor Agreement. (By signing this the Roofing Contractor is also agreeing to all of the above. See the terms and conditions on our Roofing Contractor Agreement web page.)
However, they too still can and do make mistakes.
That's why you need our Roof
Inspection Service.
This website is dedicated to a high standard of roofing

Good roofers like to work where their work is properly inspected,
the not so
good ones don’t, and the bad ones go someplace else.
To have the best chance of obtaining proposals that can be compared, apples to apples, see our web page writing a Request For Proposal (RFP) which will also put you, the Property Owner, in control of the bidding process instead of the Roofing Contractors.
Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors
The Roofing Contractors below have been Pre-Qualified by us, meeting our Roofing Contractor Requirements and signing our Roofing Contractor Agreement. Again, this is not an endorsement of any of the Roofing Contractors listed below by RE/COR Inc. and this website www.roofkey.com.
Using Roofing Contractors from this list will save Property Owners time in searching for and verifying good quality reputable Roofing Contractors and will save them money in RE-inspection Fees should the roof installation of one of the Pre-Qualified Roofing Contactors fail our Initial Roof Inspection. The Roofing Contractors listed here have agreed to pay any and all of our Roof RE-inspection Fees as defined on our web page Roof Inspection Service Fee. We believe Property Owners should never have to pay for the mistakes of the Roofing Contractor.
RE/COR Inc. and www.roofkey.com does not guarantee the business ethics or workmanship for the installation of roofing materials and accessories by any of the Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors listed here. Contractors may be barred, or subject to suspension or removal from our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors list should they violate any of our Roofing Contractor Requirements or any of the conditions or terms of our Roofing Contractor Agreement or for any other reason RE/COR Inc. deems valid to shelter Property Owners from possible problems and hassles.
At this time, there are no Roofing Contractors listed.
This web
page has just been launched and it will take some time for
even the better Roofing Contractors to get pre-qualified.
Whether you use a company from our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors list or not, be sure to use our Roof Inspection Service for your Peace of Mind. About 70% of the roofs installed today will have problems, some minor and others major. It may cost you a few dollars now but will save you hundreds maybe thousands of dollars and headaches later and possible litigation.
