Property Owners frequently ask us for a referral list of
Roofing Contractors.
We simply don't refer or endorse any
Roofing Contractor.
The Roofing Contractors that are on almost all Referral Lists / Websites pay big money in Advertising Fees to be there, especially those on Radio and TV personality Referral Lists & Websites. Some might do some rudimentary superficial checking of the contractor's business and maybe the owner's background, or the contractors must agree to some sort of broad vague criteria, but that's about it.
Again, there is no way of knowing if your roof is or will be installed correctly. Many of the Roofing Contractors on such Referral Lists / Websites and other Websites that Match Consumers with Contractors constantly make many mistakes, some major. We know because we have inspected many of their roofs for several City/ County Building Departments.
All Referral Lists
/ Websites, even ones from top Radio and TV personalities, should
only be used as a source to obtain some names of companies that
perform the type of work you are looking for. Just because
they pay big money to be on the Referral List / Website
does not mean they will do the work any better than those who are
not on the Referral List / Website. This is because no
one ever inspects their roof installations except for the standard
local City/County Building Department, which in most cases is not very thorough. About the only time
some of these websites might get involved
is after a roofing problem has occurred. That usually is way too
late. See our web pages
Roof Inspection Service and
Selecting a
Roofing Contractor.
To make Life Easier and to give you Peace of Mind you might try one of the
Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors listed here on this web page.
This is NOT a Paid Referral or Endorsement
list.
There
are no Advertising Fees paid by the Roofing Contractor to be listed here.
Being on our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors web page does not mean RE/COR Inc. and our website www.roofkey.com is endorsing any company. It simply means that the Contractors listed below have one or more "CURRENT" Roof Installations that have Passed both our Mid-Roof and our Final Roof Inspections, have met our Roofing Contractor Requirements and have signed our Roofing Contractor Agreement.
To INITIALLY be listed here on
this web page:
Contractors must first have at least (1) one Roof
Installation PASS both our Mid-Roof and our Final Roof Inspections in at least (1) one of the IBC or IRC approved Type of
Roof Covering Categories listed below. The date of Passing our Final Roof
Inspection or RE-Inspection must be within (30) thirty days prior
to having their company's name initially listed here on this web
page.
Their Roof Installations must Pass both our Mid-Roof and our Final Roof Inspection with no more than (1) one Mid-Roof RE-Inspection and (1) one Final Roof RE-Inspection performed. A Contractor's company name may appear in more than (1) one of the IBC or IRC approved Type of Roof Covering Categories listed below if they have Roof Installations that have PASSED both our Mid-Roof and our Final Roof Inspections for that Type of Roof Covering. See our Roofing Contractor Agreement web page for additional information and other Contractor Requirements.
To CONTINUE to have their
company's name listed here:
Contractors must have other Roof Installations PASS
both our Mid-Roof and our Final Roof Inspections every 90 days since
the "CURRENT" listed Roof Installation will only be listed below for a
period of 90 Days.
The more "Current" the date of PASSING our Final Roof Inspection or RE-Inspection is, the more likely the Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractor is going to properly install your new roof following our roofkey Roofing Guidelines.
The Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors listed here have also agreed to pay any and all of our Roof RE-Inspection Fees as defined on our web page Roof Inspection Service Fee. It is okay for the Property Owner to hire us to perform our Initial Mid-Roof and Final Roof Inspection but we believe Property Owners should never have to pay for the mistakes of the Roofing Contractor by paying our RE-Inspection Fees.
RE/COR Inc. and our website www.roofkey.com do not guarantee the business ethics or workmanship for the installation of roofing materials and accessories by any of the Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors listed here. Contractors may be barred, or subject to suspension or removal from our Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors list should they violate any of our Roofing Contractor Requirements or any of the conditions or terms of our Roofing Contractor Agreement or for any other reason RE/COR Inc. deems valid to shelter Property Owners from possible problems and hassles.
By having their Roof
Installations regularly inspected by us, the Contractors listed here
are far more likely to properly install roofs and have fewer
problems than the Contractors that are not
listed here.
When you use a
Contractor that is NOT listed on our
Pre-Qualified Roofing
Contractors web page
you can pretty well
count on having some problems with your
roof, some minor and others
major.
We found over the years by performing thousands of Roof
Inspections for several City/County Building Departments
that overall about 70% of the roofs we inspected failed
our Initial Roof Inspection.
However, even the Pre-Qualified Roofing Contractors
listed here still can and do make mistakes.
That's why you need our Roof
Inspection Service.
This website is dedicated to a high standard of roofing
verified by our Roof Inspection Service.
